Today is Uni's 2nd birthday! This little dog came to live with us when she was 8 weeks old as her previous owners couldn't keep her anymore. I was just about to graduate from university and had been thinking of getting a dog of my own for a while...and along she came!
Uni is a great dog and she means the world to me - I wouldn't be without her!
Happy Birthday Uni! Love you you little moo bag! x
R.A.T.S. Adoptables - Ollie, Joey and Snoopy
18 Mar 2012
Today I went to R.A.T.S and photographed the 3 new arrivals. All three are Jack Russell crosses and they are all lovely.
First up I met Ollie and Joey. They are both Male Jack Russell Terrier crosses and they are both approx 6 months old. They came in from the pound so their history is unknown. These two boys are very nervous and are not used to walking on leads yet but I'm sure they will soon come round. They were very scared of me at first but with a little patience (and liver cake!) they were fine.
Then I met Snoopy who was the opposite of little Ollie and Joey! Snoopy came bouncing out of his kennel and was jumping up for biscuits, he is a very confident little dog and very friendly. He is also a Jack Russell cross who is 2-3 years old and is castrated.
If you or anyone you know is considering adopting a dog please consider adopting a dog from R.A.T.S.

R.A.T.S. Adoptables - Meggie, Billie, Jamie and Sultan
12 Mar 2012
I always get excited when I drive up to R.A.T.S to meet the new dogs, it's great to see them and see what there personalties are like. It's even better you return the week after and they've got a home! I love hearing about the families that have fallen in love with these dogs and can't wait to take them home! It's very rewarding to be a part of.
So this week I photographed 4 new arrivals...first up we have Meggie. She is 6 years old and has come to the kennels from a home where sadly her owners couldn't keep her. She is very sweet, she wasn't too sure of my camera at first but once I got some biscuits out for her she soon liked it! Meggie would suit a home with older children as she can get a little nervous around small children.
Now the next boy is very special - this is Sultan and he is also approx 18 months old and is a lurcher. He too came from the pound so his history is unknown. This boy has the nicest personality, he is very calm and gentle. He walked over to me very calmly and took treats like a gentlemen. He posed his little heart out during his photoshoot! He even sat without being asked. He holds the record for the 'Best Model' yet!

Next we have Billie who is already reserved but he was so funny I had to share his photos! Billie is a terrier cross and is VERY friendly, he is so cute! He just wanted to be fussed the whole time! He was rolling around on his back showing his belly for the majority of the photoshoot!
Now this is the gorgeous Jamie! How gorgeous is that face!? He is a Saluki and is approx 18months old. He came from the pound so his history is unknown but he is very friendly, very handsome and would make a great companion. Now the next boy is very special - this is Sultan and he is also approx 18 months old and is a lurcher. Today I went to RATS for photograph their newbies! The sun was shining and spring was well and truly in the air. I got to meet three fabulous new arrivals that came in this week.
First up we have Julian he came in from the pound so his history and age are unknown but he has been put at approx 5 months. He is a lab x and is very cute! He was a great model and sat very calmly for me. Out on walks he is a little nervous of traffic but he wills soon round.
Next up is the gorgeous Dolly, she is also from the pound so her history and age are unknown but she is approx 1-2 years old. She is very friendlly and energetic. She will need a bit of training but she will make someone a lovely companion.
Last but not least we have Chuck he is a very cute little Jack Russell, possibly Chihuahua cross. He is a little timid at first but has come round alot since being at the kennels. He would be best with older children as he can be a little timid. He has such a cheeky little face!

R.A.T.S.adoptables - Shadow
19 Feb 2012
*UPDATE* Shadow has found a home!!
Shadow has been at R.A.T.S for 6 months now and everyone there would love to see him in a loving home. He is a Greyhound and is approx 8-9 years old. He is very affectionate, loves cuddles, food, being with people and walking.
When I met Shadow him came out of his kennel very calmly and made his way over to me. He then just leant up against my legs and wanted a fuss. He loves having a good stroke and is very affectionate.
Even though Shadow is a large dog he is very calm and gentle. Greyhounds are generally quite lazy and don't need a lot of exercise.
Shadow needs a home to live out his old age in, he is a great dog and would make a great companion. Please don't overlook this gentle giant!
If you think you could offer Shadow a home or know someone how could please contact R.A.T.S.

R.A.T.S adoptables - Sooty and Ludo
15 Feb 2012
Yesterday I went to R.A.T.S, an animal rescue based in Hare Street - read all about them here. They had two new arrivals in and wanted me to photograph them.
First up we have Sooty, he came from the pound so his history is unknown. R.A.T.S have put his age at around two and he is a terrier type. Sooty is such a cute little dog, very friendly and happy. He was also a very well behaved model!
*UPDATE* Sooty is now reserved!!
The next new arrival is Ludo. He too came from the pound so once again his history is unknown. His age has been put at around 4. He is a very cute terrier! He was very inquisitive and has alot of character. He loved his treats and always took them very gently. You can't really tell from these photos but he is very skinny and has to gain some weight.
