We had Cookie come back to stay for 5 days, 2 rabbits, a tortoise, Fidel the Schnauzer (we'll get onto him in a second!) Gary a 4 month old Portuguese Water dog (sadly didn't manage to get any photos of him) and today we are having Lola a beagle cross for a few days! So you can imagine it's been a little hectic around here!
Now let's get onto Fidel, he is a gorgeous 3 year old Miniature Schnauzer. We met Fidel about a month ago. His owner Anne came into the petshop, she had just moved to England from Spain and got talking to Mum about our dogs. Anne wanted Fidel to socialise with other dogs so she would meet us for walks a few times a week.
At first Fidel was very nervous and didn't really know how to act with the others, he would always look to Anne for reassurance and never wanted to join in with any playing or sniffing!
Anne had got Fidel from a breeders but not until he was about 5 months old, he was very nervous and had not been socialised with other dogs or even people. He is still quite nervous of men but once he knows you he's fine.
Anne was due to go back to Spain for a week or so and so Fidel was coming to stay at ours. The first few days he was quiet but by the end of the week he was having a GREAT time, he was playing with the others and any balls or teddies that were lying around. Running around like a mad dog out on walks!
It was lovely to see him really come out of his shell and enjoy being around the other dogs.
So here he is, I'll start of with what I like to call "The cutest photo I've ever taken"...
Look at that face!!
I think he was bored of me shoving a camera in his face!
He looks grumpy but I can assure you this is his happy face!
