First up we have Lily, she is a 10 year old Saluki and we got her from a Lurcher Rescue centre when she was 8 months old. She was proving to be too much for her previous owners. She would pull washing off the line, rip open the babies nappies (nice!) she was never allowed off the lead because she had run away previously. She was, to them, a general nuisance.
When we say Lily's photograph we fell in love, she has these gorgeous long feathered ears, and big saucer eyes! She was a gorgeous puppy!
When we got Lily we had another lurcher at home, Harvey and the two became inseparable until he sadly passed away in 2010.
Lily is 10 years old now and is beginning to show signs of slowing down. She is truly a diva, she won't leave her chair for anybody, not even to greet guests. If you want to stroke Lily when you come to visit, you go to her daaarling!
